She checked herself reguraly for the bumps, basically the regular do-it-self yourself check-up. She did know she had this type of cancer until she went for a check-up and the doctor seen it. She felt the same as she always did, like nothing was wrong with her and by the time they found it was at stage four and spreading quickly. They treated her and treated her but it all stopped working and she eventually died. If you see something irregular on your body, no matter what it is you should always immediately go show it to your doctor because you don't know how harmful or not it could be.

-i choose this video because in the book, Firefly Lane Tully is very much so affected by her mother and her drug addiction. She left when she was young and was raised by her grandma and always had hope that her mom would eventaually come back and be her mother. She came back for her but was into drugs bad, she did not care about Tully or what she though or did. Tully was just someone their to clean the house and buy groceries. Just because she wasn't physically hurt doesn't mean that she wasn't hurt at all. She was emotionally and phyiscally damaged and thanks to her mom, letting people in was a big deal and something that she wasn't good at. Having a life like Tully had really would make you want to succeed and show your parent(s) that you better than them, you willl actually do something wtih your life. Not be a low-life kind of person like them.

I loved reliving the 70's and 80's and 90's with them, all of the pop culture references made this a fun journey. The book is much more than just pop culture though as it follows two young girls who grow into wonderful women with very different personality - Holli
